Pollen, please go away
Despite almost continual rain here in the Northeast over the last few weeks, the tree pollen season seems to be lasting forever. The rain helps to get it washed out of the trees, but the trees keep on making it! It's tree-love season, and my car gets a green film on it within 30 minutes of being outside.
I parked next to a beautiful Black Sapphire 750i today while doing errands and our two cars together looked pathetically dirty. Time for a wash! Just had to vent... |

I couldn't agree more. Every day my car has a yellow green haze to it.

I hear ya, hardly had time to wax after a wash before the pollen landed again.

Guys! Pick up the california duster 12 bucks at walmart. This thing works wonders, it really works! Five minute wipe down and your car is restored. I haven't washed my car in two weeks and its spotless.

After owning my Carbon Black X5 and using the California Duster during high pollen times, I noticed the swirls and light scratches to the clear coat. I don't put a micro-fiber cloth or anything else to the body of my M and I have no issues with swirls/scratches. Using demineralized water allows for a spot free air dry and no scratches! |

Get some Griot's Garage Spray-On car wash. Works wonders with light to moderate amounts of dirt. In fact, I rarely wash my cars anymore with soap and water.....only when they get really mucky in winter. Best thing is that after you dry it, it has a mirror finish already.
BTW, you need to get the really deep-pile green microfiber cloths that they recommend. And for you allergy sufferers....take a non-drowsy med in the morning and 25mg Benadryl at night. Nothing works like Benadryl !!
