how about a pair of 285/35/19 PS2's for $295 shipped to CONUS? one has 4.5/32 left and the other has 5.5/32 or remaining tread.

Will 285's fit on the OEM 19" rears?
I thought 275 was the widest you could go?

EDIT: 285's on the stock wheels aren't safe.

Interesting why do you say that? BMW runs 285's on the 9.5" rear M5 wheels.

Did a search and it looked like everyone recommended against it. Were you running them on the stock rims?

Yep, no problems. But no worries, your call. Checkout tirerack's charts. 285 are in the range of acceptable widths for 9.5" wheels and BMW installs them on the M5's.
