Will 285's fit on the OEM 19" rears?
I thought 275 was the widest you could go? EDIT: 285's on the stock wheels aren't safe. Thanks for the offer, though!

Interesting why do you say that? BMW runs 285's on the 9.5" rear M5 wheels.

Yep, no problems. But no worries, your call. Checkout tirerack's charts. 285 are in the range of acceptable widths for 9.5" wheels and BMW installs them on the M5's.
