If you love your car as much as I do, maybe the girls have good cause to be worried. Only an M3 can generate such strong feelings!

I drove my father from JFK through Brooklyn and New Jersey in the M3. It was loaded down with people and a trunk full of luggage. He hated it. But he drives a Lexus so his opinion doesn't count. When he complained too loudly, I dropped it down a few gears and ran it up to 135. When his screams got loud enough, I mashed the brakes to immediately drop us down to 70. No fuss, no bother.
This I understand completely! I am surrounded by family and friends that go on and on about how they could take Russia in their Lexus. They don't seem to understand the basics of what makes a car high performance...... like acceleration, braking and especially cornering. There is no antidote to ignorance but I like your answer.... show them. The best, in my opinion, is to take my now Lexus driving but ex-Porche driving father on a mountain road in my M3 (my old 2004). I got the "wow, this car does it all". I think he meant that is pulls the same G's around a corner as a 911 but actually has a back seat that someone can sit in! I don't think my father hates an M3, it's just that he really underestimates it's capabilities. These kind of people think of it as a rough luxury sedan when really it is a very smooth and practical high performance sedan. It's annoying but I still just love driving my car and I could never get that from any current Lexus (my wife has a Lexus as well and suffers from some of the same "it's rough" estimations of the M3). M3's kick butt! Congrats on the Dinan badge! Sounds like you belong on the track!!

I have the stage 3 suspension. Love it. Going to do Dinan software and exhaust next. I got to drive the Dinan stroker M3. It sold me on the quality of their stuff.
