[QUOTE=gazosnic;15804324]Awesome. Do you know if your computer still reads a ready status as well for the cats?

Also can you confirm which spacers you bought? Are mini cats being utilized as well?[/

listed above and right in his pics. Fabspeed 02 extenders. I also put up a link somewhere for a website that sells all sorts of extenders cheaper than what they cost from Fabspeed. Its' essentially a 90 deg extender.

Hey seems like with the test pipes and MPE after you rev the car wants to backfire but doesn't? Is this because you still have the stock mid pipe?

I have the MPE right now and was thinking of going full catless, resonatorless xpipe, with this I should be able to get the burble? at 00:48 is that fire backfiring? Hard to believe since the mid pipe is stock and mpe as well. I read that the MPE is a straight through design?

Your car definitely sounds good, does it smell with the test pipes? Do you think that the testpipe may or may not rip a hole in the MPE?

Thanks

Extenders should have no effect on readiness

Car does backfire when exhaust gets hot or cold starts

Exhaust does have a slight smell but only if your standing right behind the car
I only have the MS test pipes and MPE

does anyone know if fabspeed O2 rear spacers keeps the cel away, and allows readiness for at least 500 miles?

I would not buy them unless they are guaranteed. I tried vibrant spacers without success. Why waste money?

If you have 200+ HFCs you might be able to get away with it. Catless, no way.

Just installed Macht schnell test pipes, and love them. I looked up OP's Fabspeed O2 sensors, and what a rip off, at $150 for the pair. Bought these from ebay, and they worked just fine for $28:

How many miles are you on with spacers? Sometimes it will take a while for the CEL light to come on.

That said I know someone else who is also running a version of spacers trouble free for a year (similar to the fab speed ones)

Yea usually takes a couple hundred miles before you throw a O2 sensor after a cat delete.

<100 so far, but see post #29 for proof of what spacers can do. I PM'ed OP, and he went 2K miles before he took them off and got a tune. No codes, no CEL.

Why not make some test pipes with the rear 02 sensors in a bypass with a mini catalyst inline or steel wool or something?

Spacers can work you just need the right ones. You should report back after putting more miles on the car. 100 miles is a bit early to judge their effectiveness.

It really doesn't come down to X amount of mileage - it depends on how you drive the car and the number of drive cycles.

If you drive the car hard, exceed 3,000 RPM or 65 MPH, you will prolong the time it takes to trigger the fault. If you drive the car easy on a couple trips and maintain constant speed and avoid throttle fluctuations, you will trigger it sooner.

Can you custom fabricate that for less than $328?

I'll report back on this thread, and reply to you. At how many miles do you need to judge effectiveness?

So which O2 spacers need to be installed and what do you mean by front? Closer to the engine? How many O2 sensors need to be installed in a test pipe set up without throwing a cel theoretically?

Mixed results with 02 spacers. They are for rear 02. Vibrant and others make them. Spark plug antifoulers may be a substitute. A tune can be optioned to simulate the rear 02.

imo, the 02 spacers worked perfectly fine for me, but I ended up with a tune that removes the CEL anyways

now i'm looking at these from fabspeed, but there doesn't seem to be anything out there on them:

Ugh. I'm up about 120 miles, the tune just removed the cel, I have two things coming up on the readiness-cats and O2 still. Guess I have to just keep driving. My car inspection expired in May ? pain in my ass this shit....
