How much? Dealer want to charge me $595 for ClearBra and another $395 for tint. Seems excessive to me.

I paid $279 for the tint (returning customer).

The Clear Shield was listed at $899 for front, headlights, door edges and handle cups. I ended up paying $1050 for both.

So $770 for Clear Shield. IMO the clear bra seems very over priced.... but It did take the guy at least 6 hrs just for the clear shield. He did a perfect job. Hopefully it will be worth it????

I would rec going straight to the tint shop and getting a quote from them. Maybe check this forum for recs on a local tint shop.

$770? is that full hood and full fenders? If so, that's pretty damn cheap.

No, not full hood. Clear shield doesn't come in sheets large enough to do a full hood (yet). You have to use a softer film for that. Mine is like 14" or so up the hood, although you can't even see it!

Clear Shield is not a brand of film. It is more likely 3M or VentureShield and they have renamed it under their own name. There are numerous films out there that come wide enough to do full hood and full fenders.

As far as softer film... where did you hear that at? There are no harder/softer films out there. If your installer told you this they do not really know what they are talking about.

If you get a chance post some close up pics of the install. I would be interested in seeing the edges and reflection in the film. Beautiful car though ... and the clear bra will more than pay itself off in the long run.

The Clearshield is a Bekaert product, check it out at http://www.clearshield.com/index.cfm...n/Catalog.Home

My installer told me that Ventureshield looks cleaner at first, but does not hold up well over time and he had several warranty claims when he was using it. He has so far had no problems with the Bekaert film.

I will post some close-up pics when I get a chance.
