Good deal on 2009 M3?

Hello all,

First time here. Hopefully a M3 owner soon.

I'm turning 30 this year and want a new toy.

I am thinking about buying a 2009 M3 Sedan. Just want to get your opinion on what a good deal is. From my research, they go in the high 40s.

Specs:
Not CPO
Black on black
Carbon Leather
DCT with EDC
Cold weather package
Premium package
Tech package
19 in wheels
Moonroof
17k miles
Clean carfax report.

I offered $49K. Dealer wants $52k. What do you think?

Take her for a spin before you start talking price. Make sure all maintenance was properly done (1200 mi service) and the tires are new. Then shoot for 45k.

Don't know about pricing but there is one question. Is this 'dealer" a BMW dealership? If not, ok. But if so, I think the question that begs to be answered is what stopped it from being CPO?

Is this car listed on a website somewhere where we can take a look at it?

You should also check the forum and see if any forum members are selling a similar car in your area.

Not a BMW Dealership so no CPO.

Pretty low miles so I'm not worried.

I test drove it on Saturday and it was very nice. No weird vibrations or sounds. Was doing 100mph for a few miles.

From what the dealer told me, guy is military and got a baby on the way. So traded in the toy for Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.

We aren't that far apart, so might just split the difference. I would pay 50K max.

17k miles for an 09 is pretty average the $52k is a pretty average price as well but they bought it from the guy for $44k. Tell them $46, they'll say $50k and then compromise for $47k.

With all due respect here, dealers love guys like you willing to pay too much. The guys here are giving good advice. Take the emotion out this and you will get a better deal. Get this car at a lower price if you can or call up GOLFFRR and get a better deal.

Used car dealers always asks much more than they are willing the sell the car for. I think your offer of 49K was way to high. I suggest to offer something like 45K. Then don't over 47.5K. Even if he refuses your offer initially, he will call you back and accept you offer. I know from my experiences.
