Where in LA?

If you're in West LA, go to Platinum Auto in Marina del Rey, which is right by Costco. They usually do small jobs the same day if you bring it in midweek.

I recommend Marco's Collision Center.

I am a car guy through and through and would only bring my car to someone who has the skill and knowledge to do a great job and make my car look good as new.

Their work is fast and reasonable and they get the job done on time.

Ask for the manager Edwin.

Here's the contact number (818) 506-8000

I hope you never need body work, but if you do these guys are great.

Best,

Gene

Alot of the time, unless you have an inside hookup (ie. know the owner, know one of the employees, etc), you get what you pay for. Why not go with someone that has delivered good results on a consistent basis?

This is where I took my 08 M3 as well.

I was looking for a paint-and-body place after my car got badly scraped in a wind storm right around the Christmas holidays. I wanted a shop with great reputation in the Los Angeles area that did a lot of work with BMWs and was top ranked by AAA (because I had AAA insurance).

The manager at Marco's in North Hollywood is Aram Semirjyan and I must say that he made my car look far better than it was when I picked it up brand new from the dealer lot back in 2008. I was going to sell it this year as my 4 years of free maintenance is up soon but now that the job is finished and the car looks so awesome I am going to keep it at least until 2014 when the new M3 comes out. BTW, Marco's does all the Century West BMW work and when I went to their shop to interview them I saw about 20 BMWs being worked on which gave me the confidence that these guys knew what they were doing. They took 25 days to finish my car but boy I just love what they did with it!

I cannot give Aram and his team a higher recommendation. If you need paint-and-body work in the LA area and you are as anal about your car as I am give him a call at 818-506-8000. They are my go-to shop from now on should I ever need paint again.

John
