Another Roll-On: ESS VT2 625 vs VF 620

Longboarder (camera car): ESS VT2 625 S/C (567 RWHP), DCT

vs Joe@Trinity: VF Eng 620 S/C (602 RWHP), 6MT

Joe has 2 wheels/tires and various track tools in car; also is running 245 tires in rear as he bent one of his rear wheels earlier in the day.

Run 1: 45-50mph roll on...Joe starts in 2nd gear and longboarder (while messing up at the third honk) starts in 3rd gear. Yes longboarder hits rev limiter around the end of the run. lol.

Run 2: 40mph roll on...both start in 2nd gear. Appears that Joe spins a little on the 2-3 gear change.

We will definitely rematch at the next roll-on event and I think it will be a very close race once both cars are on equal footing.

Good stuff right there. What fuel were your both running because the VF car only went over 600 at the tires when running a mix of race gas and I thought the ESS car put down more power when mixed with race gas? Just seems like you posted joes dyno when he used race and yours on 91 or am I mistaken?

I believe those #'s he listed are both cars on a mix of race gas of some sort.

Right on, amazing what the DCT can make up for in terms of power.

I dyno'd at 543 RWHP on 91 octane and 570 (567 uncorrected) on 95 octane. I saw Joe dyno and he hit 580 RWHP on 91 octane IIRC and then hit the 603 with something like 105 octane.

Yeah these two runs needed some explanation for sure. Hopefully one day we will be able to actually get a clean run in!

Agreed, it's one reason why I was able to hang with that 730whp Ford GT.

Yes...same dyno and same day. I dyno'd at 543 wheel that day through the stock exhaust + 91 octane at about 11am and Joe went next and did 580 wheel on 91 octane and 603 with MS 109 blend.

I just love these roll on runs!

I assume they are running very close to the same boost and with the same blowers the outcome is as expected a drivers race.

I love seeing these types of comparison videos, especially in controlled safe environments on the track.

Great runs by both Longboarder and Joe@Trinity.

I can't wait to see a friendly rematch when the VF620 has some proper rubber in the rear!

Nice videos and threads as always, Longboarder. Keep it up!
