Um, there's no official time.. just numbers from random people on the internet? There's no chance in holy hell it's a 1:18 SORRY, if you believe that there's something thoroughly wrong with you

Bug off, I'll say whatever I like thank you very much.

No car is flawless but I am always excited about how much performance and luxury our cars have, especially for the dollar. Sorry if you disagree. Calling my opinions embarassing is pretty gross overstatement.

Anyone who debates that the M3 as an entire series is not a legendary series is at serious odds with the facts. A Ferarri it surely is not but that is not my stance, never has been.

Yo op, you make the 'underrated hp' sound as a bad thing. If I were a salesman for GTR, I would always use this 'underrated hp' fact to good use while selling it to a customer. A customer would be more happier to know, their getting more power then they bargained for.

I wouldn't be like ''Damn, Nissan lies about their HP, it's always higher then usual.I won't recommend it to you". The customer would think I am either sarcastic or I have lost.

Anyway Op, good find

Looks like a mortal driving the GTR around Nordschielfe is 7:50 - 7:55....

This Nordschielfe thing, now that the manufacturers have caught onto the weighting internet people like us give are rigging these things with race drivers, ideal conditions etc....

I am only going to consider Sport Auto's number as they are the most consistent and isn't subject to manufacture's desire to use it as a marketing campaign.

The correct time was 1:19.7, identical to the F430 Scud which is truly amazing and so was the car's ability in the hands of the Stig. The thing really does corner as if it's on rails.

Was you basically have a car which is as quick as Ferrari's quickest road car (on Ferrari's own track) and yet costs a third of the price.

RESPECT to Nissan, they have built a car which is in another world to anything else in it's price bracket.

Car sent from nissan in Japan or what? This is funny considering the nissan GTR has been destroyed by ferraris and the lambos. If you COULD read this you'd learn it the hard way http://www.quattroruote.it/news/arti...?codice=138137 . Search quattroruote elsewhere on google maybe you can find translation. I don't find this the end all be all by any means, the GTR will be destroyed at many tracks period.

Ferrari 430 Scuderia

Lap time 1.15,375min
0-100km/h: 3.76s
0-200km/h:11.64s
1458kg with driver

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

Lap time 1.15,714min
0-100km/h: 3.65s
0-200km/h:11.09s
1590kg with driver

Porsche 997 GT2

Lap time 1.15,528s
0-100km/h: 3.87s
0-200km/h:12.04s
1550kg with driver

Nissan GT-R

Lap time 1.17,600s
0-100km/h: 3.87s
0-200km/h:13.15s
1800kg with driver

F430S dominated on the track, LP560 won in a straight line!

the GTR gets destroyed on Ferraris tracks but ok.

it is a great car

hey guys, finally I have to admit that the GTR is a super fast car, and it is a great a achievement for Nissan, whatever the real power it posses is. as a lot of people here said, I wouldn't mind if some one sold me a car with more power than he says it has. it is fun to know that my car is more powerful than it is stated. I don't mind Nissan lying. it is not that beautiful car and I will not buy it because of that and for only one other reason which is that the GTR next door might be far faster than mine! other than that it is a great car.

Thanks for the post.... No one is doubting the GTR is a nice fast car but I think we have been subjected to viral marketing from Nissan....

I don't believe the car at the Topgear track was indeed flown from Japan as Clarkie said. This is very similar to one used by EVO in their comparison test with an R8 and that car was a personal import.

To get this straight I will not doubt the Nissan GTR is a good car. I will not doubt it looks impressive aesthetically, I find it different and I enjoy different approaches. I like it's computer system, I like its improvements on AWD and what it can do for the price range. But I believe all these tests to be retarded Nissan ploys with Japanese(Nissan) supplied cars and it pisses me off. Look at this, http://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost.p...5&postcount=72 . The nissan that ran a 7:29 has a purported 693HP, and there's no doubt in my mind the tested GTR's have VERY SIMILAR POWER, and with how many other non-production tid bits? Either way even if it did have 693HP and some slight mods, you can give Nissan credit for making a capable car.. but don't BS me in trying to tell me that these cars are stock,non-altered vehicles.

693hp, this keeps getting better and better.

Why not except that Nissan have built a car which handles much, much better than a Z06, GT2, Ferrari 430 Scud, etc, etc.

3.8L Bi-turbo = 693hp. (182.3hp per Litre) pretty impressive for a Japanese car which we all know will be every bit as reliable as any other.

P.S.
With that output per litre would you not think there would be quite a lot of lag, certainly a lot more than has ever been report in any tests, in fact I can't remember turbo lag being mentioned that much at all.
