I used to be curious why someone would be kind enough to set the car on blocks instead of the ground, which would just damage things more. Then it finally hit me; it's so they can get their jack out.
Hope the thief burns.

There has been a crazy amount of wheel thefts lately here in the Houston area. One guy even showed up to a local meet in May with someone else's stolen wheels on his car. Cops were called and the wheels were returned to the rightful owner thanks to us car enthusiasts taking so many pictures of our babies!
Sucks regardless to have to deal with that though. |

I park my car in the garage every night, but this thread made me go get some locks, as I have an upcoming trip and will be parked at Hotel for a night. Dealer had two options, one set for $50 and another for $100, he sold me on the $100 set convinced me they are keyed differently and harder for thieves to find a "close" match to remove them.
My thinking.....if it makes it harder for them to steal, maybe they will move on to an easier target, every second counts for them. I also head to the Houston area once in a while to stay at in-laws.......hits close to home! |
