Although I do not agree with what he wants to do, nor does it go by my ideals....

I don't mind it

Why?

I'm not in the 1 mil per year tax bracket yet.... so I don't mind if they get taxed up the butt
As long as those laws are gone once i'm there lol

For those of you interested I'm putting together a big rally to C&C Irvine this weekend...

Saturday September 24th, 5am. Location: Sherman Oaks (Gelson's Lot) rally to Cars and Coffee Irvine

Meet here at 5am, then we can cruise to the OC rally point at 5:30.

Cars & Coffee Irvine

We're rallying up to Cars and Coffee Irvine this weekend! If you're down please join us up! It's going to be a great rally! We'll be doing a mini-photo shoot/cruise right afterward so it should be a great day! We'll be meeting some of the OC guys up to roll in together, so if you're in the OC meet us up at the Shell Gas Station by the Spectrum at 6:20. If you even think you will be late call me or just meet us at the OC rally point. We are on a schedule so please keep us up to date! We should be arriving at the OC rally point at around 6:20am and from there will head to Cars and Coffee about 6:30ish am. Last time was a blast and the weather should be perfect again this time!

For the meeting spot I'll be parking close to Van Nuys Blvd (though at that time I'll be the only car in the lot).

Meet Here: Gelson's in Sherman Oaks (Google Maps)

Meet here at 5am. We will be cruising out at 5:30am sharp! Call me if you're running late!

OC Rally Point: Shell Gas Station (51 Technology Drive, Irvine, CA)

Cars & Coffee Irvine: Cars & Coffee Irvine (Google Maps)

The plan:
1. Meet up
2. Responsible cruising the OC rally point
3. Cruise into Cars & Coffee
4. Hanging and good times
5. Roll out to photo shoot spot
6. Get some driving done and take some pics!

If anyone wants to just meet us directly there, then please do the more the merrier! Please message me for info if you'd like to meet us up en-route. Spread the word all auto enthusiasts are welcome!

Feel free to call me if you plan to come but may run late.

Haha, you cannot think that way!

Even though you may not be a part of that wealthy group of people, it's a matter of principle. People like Obamao are killing the younger generation.

Rich people, for the most part, work very hard to earn their money. They slave away at school and their job for many years to get to the top. Why would anybody want to work so hard if their hard earned money is just going to be stripped away from them?

And while all this is happening, the poor people are reaping the benefits.

If this is the case, there is very little incentive for people to become wealthy. Then who will the government steal the money from?

How about this... instead of stealing from the people who earned their wealth, how about the government stops spending our money on stupid programs?

I know what you mean, but there are flaws I want to let you know about:

The 15% tax on investment income, IMO, is unfair when compared to the regular income 30%+ tax
I know it's like this, but nonetheless, it's unequal

Either make them both 15% or make them both 30%, you get the idea.

OR, make it 30% for those who make multi million profits on stocks.
Why? Cause those people really control the market

Those of us who trade in the thousands to tens of thousands don't affect the market at all
So we should only be taxed at 15%, cause for us to earn money, it's difficult.

For me, if I spend $10k on a stock, I'll be happy with $1k (10%)

Now, if I get taxed 15% on that, it's $150 off my profit, which is a lot for someone like me who only made 1k

Now, if someone made 10% off of 10 mil, that's 1 mil.
15% tax is 150k, which is a lot, but if he has 10mil... he should be fine...

You get what I mean lol

Money makes money...I agree with Shy that the impact to the wealthy won't be THAT bad, and "stripped away" is pretty extreme text to use in this context.... The impact is much bigger to the middle class.

A tax will create little incentive for people to work hard towards wealth??

I agree with your last statement wholeheartedly. Spend reduction instead of income generation (tax)! There is so much to cut its perverse.

The problem with spend reduction is that you will never get the support of the government where the cuts will happen because the people who have the money drum up the votes and contribute to keep the senators and representatives in office. e.g. Farm subsidies, billions goes to these farmers, and there is a REALLY bad accounting of how and why the money is allocated to them. The point is...those wealthy farming families straight up tell the senators and reps that they will get them reelected if they continue to reject farm subsidy spending cuts, if they don't they will lose.

Do you have examples of other stupid programs?

Watch a documentary called the "Upper 1%" or something like that, forgot the exact title

it's on stream on netflix.

it's interesting.

the govt gives subsidies to companies that do X.
Then, the govt spends $ to fix what that same company has done (i.e. environmental etc, like saving the wildlife etc)

So, basically the govt pays company A to do X, then spends money to fix the problems company A cause by doing X.

Sugarcane harvesting is one example I remember.

I was looking for SLs.... and now there are 2 sets FS....

I got one, but I would have preferred to get the set with the RS3s...$100 cheaper and the tires I wanted.... they're blue stickers and valve stem (I wanted red), and the red cost $100, so it would mean same price... but then I would have had the tires I wanted...

I mean, what's done is done. It just pisses me off that after 2 months of waiting, I finally find a set...and then a better set comes up a week after... X.x
