Yeh I'm getting black kidney grills as well but my color is SSII. I want a shiny black though. Like a chrome black. I already photoshoped one the way I want it (left side drive) with the tint.

I didnt see Jerez in real life. I am answering in the basis of the pictures I have seen and what the people who saw it told me.

Well maybe it's not a good idea to comment based on "pictures" and what "people told you".

Jerez Black might as well have been called Carbon Black because it is virtually identical. Look at how the colour is made up compared with Carbon Black as well.

You're right perhaps, but I think the wild card here is the color, density, and size of the flakes, which might make them appear quite different IRL. I have a Carbon M5 and hope to have my Jerez M3 early March. First thing I plan to do is take pictures of the two cars side-by-side and post here somewhere. I know that Carbon changes character quite a bit from sunny to overcast conditions so I'll try to catch both conditions with an identical camera

Well, when I was in Germany this winter, I saw Jerez black and it appeared more blue than the Carbon Black. The reason why I can say it, is because I have Carbon Black on my e46 M3. The real difference is not in the blue however, but it is the slight hint of purple you get on a cloudy day or dimm light. Not that it is a large amount of purple, but certainly more than I have ever soon on my M3.

Overall though, both colors are very dark and the difference is miniscule. I think we are beating around the bush here..

Best regards,

CSL

But I am not commenting purely on the % make up of the colours. I am commenting on the basis of having seen the colours with my own eyes.

Exactly.

I was prompted to comment after reading "Jerez black has much more blue in it than carbon black" written by the_stranger.
