A car like that isn't about maintaining apex speed, the name of the game is throttle as long and as early as possible. Driving a car smoothly is not about making smooth inputs, it's about loading the tires smoothly and that's what you're seeing in the video.

Heinricy, Lally, Magnussen might be faster around the 'ring than Mero but then again might not. History says not

Just out of curiosity, how much is the ZR1 MSRP in the States? I love the way it looks, so much better than the GTR, did anyone saw an article that said "Help Ford bring on the Supercar (or muscle, can't remember)" and there was a pic of the GT40, did Ford just stopped producing GT40's??? Loved that car.
American car companies have so much potential to build really beautiful and powerful cars, and here's proof

About $120k depending on options, a steal really, and the 2012 seats are actually starting to not suck!

You obviously wouldn't know FAST from a PRO if it was driving away from you

You should try contacting John, Andy or Jan and see what they have to say about smooth throttle inputs.

Ok Mike, FYI, successful racing careers don't usually start with being mouthy to people you don't know on the internet.

Strap on a Spec Wrecker with me sometime and we can settle this with a friendly crash in Turn 1. The MX5 cup cars are too rich for my blood

I knew I shouldn't have wasted my time responding to you, your clearly very mature yourself Wiese.

Just FYI you should still ask John, Andy and Jan if smooth throttle inputs mean nothing like you stated. You can ask Jason or Brad too

+1.......plus, the price pointe on those is just ridiculous compared to the performance. Just an amazing value, if you can call a 110k for a car a bargain

Cheers,

Spoken for the truth. The whole truth. And nothing but the Truth.

I can't imagine how fast the ZR1 is with a dual clutch tranny. Cars are getting crazy fast now a days.

Wow! Impressive, and the looks of the zr1 are growing on me. I don't know much about the corvettes, which is supposed to be faster, the zr1 or the z06

Is this currently in the works?

I hope so, I was just talking about this with a buddy of mind who was considering the GT-R. Can you imagine how fast a z06 or zR1 would be with technology like DCT!

Kudos to the driver and corvette line.

And, I love reading all the GT-R fan boy posts...
