How so? Many of the interior bits are the same etc.

I think the build quality of the 135 is superb. When you get underneath one the majority of it is aluminium and looks great.

......
Agree, my 135i was on a par with my E92 in just about all areas other than the ash tray cover was thinner and the door pocket edges were a bit rough, other than that all good.

Its a massive decision to take on as I have never loved a car like I love my little 1er. It rides incredibly well, goes like a scolded rat when I need it too and in contrast will happily cruise around sedately when I might have a client in the car etc.

Hmmm, still thinking......
lol the fact that yr thinking gives the game away

the 135i is not an "M" full stop

Yeah I just think I want to experience a newer M3 before they go down the blown route.

It isn't an easy decision though, the 135 is equally as quick as the M3 (a good friend of mine owns an E92 M3) and the running costs are halved.

All the things that make it Not and M car are also the things that make it so lovely to drive on a daily basis.

The two main things I miss are a proper slippy diff and the noise. Its not all positives though, the brakes are arguably better on the 135, with more staminar from the 6 pots.

You are right with your closing statement though, its not an M car. ;-)
