can't get my iphone 3g to connect via bt
read the owners manual, read the help guide on bmwusa.com and searched the forum. still no worky.
i go to the setup screen on the idrive. i start the sync, my iphone finds bmw with last 7 of my vin. i select it and the iphone prompts me to select a passkey. i use 0000 and tap connect. the idrive then promps me to type the passkey i made on the iphone, i type the 0000. some time goes by and the iphone says unable to connect and the idrive displays a similar message. what the heck am i doing wrong?! |

how do you restart the idrive/navi? 1234, yeah tried that too, but i was also under the impression that the code was created by the user unlike the older bt systems which already had codes from the factory. correct?

FYI you can force idrive to reboot itself by pushing and holding the volume dial and the cd eject button for 5 seconds or until you see the idrive screen go blank. You will not loose any custom settings. Just simply forcing a reboot.
