I'll play...
I'd commission a one-off M3 from BMW Then I'd take my money and invest in high yield dividend stocks (just like I do now) and enjoy the villa in Europe with my own mini private race track

You have to make your money work for you and make you more money and winning a large amount like that makes it entirely possible whereas it might not have been possible before as it usually takes money to make money. I know that winning that amount will have you set for the rest of your life but I would want to spread the wealth around among family and a few select friends.
So as it sits as of this moment, it's $500 million. That's half a billion. That's a lot. After taxes that cuts it about in half. Now we're at $250 million. That's a lot too. I would obviously take the lump sum as opposed to a 20 year payout so they would give you the present value (this is bs I know but that's what they do since they can't make 20 years of interest on it I guess they figure they will calculate that and take it anyway). That puts us probably around $175-200 million. That's still a hell of a lot. So with that money the first thing I would do is purchase a whole lot of McDonald's franchises. Those are cash crops and will always make tons of money no matter what the economy etc. I would give each of my family members a franchise so they could be in control of their own finances and future and won't rely on some set amount from me. Okie dokie.. so after I set up my cash crop so to speak, it's onto just a few new toys 1. Offshore racing powerboat 2. Porsche GT3 RS 3. Aston Martin Zagato 4. Ferrari F430 16M 5. Ferrari F40 That's it. Those are my faves. I don't need some crazy fleet of cars like Jay Leno or anything. |

I'd go with a modest house with a killer 12 car garage. Painted all white with great lighting and all the other fixings lifts, tools, detailing bay, etc.... I figure I can get away with 8 bays if I keep the cars stacked while keeping one for cleaning and one for maintainence with a bathroom that over looks them all....
I'd like to have the following cars fill that garage: -E30 M3 -E36 M3 -E46 M3 (Already have that one) -E92 M3 (Check on that one too) -New M3 -Ferrari F50 -430 Scud -458 -Aston Martin Zagato -UnderGround Racing Superleggera -SLR -Agera R With the exception of the SLR they all need to be red And as a daily I'dgo with a duce and a half which can sit outside

This is all really too funny. Hate to disappoint guys, but I'm winning the mega millions. Bought all my tickets yesterday. Since you guys are all so good with your advice, I'd come to you to tell me which cars to buy! Oh, and for those of you who are always nice to me, I'd buy you the car of your dreams! I'm nice like that!

After taking care of family including adopting a couple kids and tithes/charity my future would include a modified BBJ that could sling a few cars around with me and my new International drivers license! Of course this won't happen since I don't play the lottery...

So, that means if we won I'd prob get about 10 mil. That a hefty sum, but it isn't 400+ million. It'd be enough to buy myself a nice beachront house with a nice garage for tinkering. A dedicated track car and a truck to pull it would be a must. I honestly think I'd keep my M3 for daily driving... I don't really want a different car (as crazy as that sounds to me). I think the rest would prob go towards family and investing for the future. If you buy too much crap it's going to occupy all your time. I want to be able to travel without worrying about my stuff at home. I suppose a boat would be nice too... |

What if
I would build an electric fence to keep away unwanted family, friends and acquaintances from borrowing money. I would post four armed sharp shooters in all four corners of the house with orders to shoot and kill. Only, then can I move on to my shopping list of cars.
