Pinstripes

I did a search of this forum to see how other members feel about pin-striping and came up with nothing. Being a relatively young member on the forum (24) I think their is nothing better than having a car pinstriped. For my age demographic I feel not many others respect the art or care for it. Me personally, I think it adds a bit of contrast to your car and sets it apart from others. I bought my M3 in May of this year and when i went to check it out, I felt it was missing something. My car is alpine white with fox red interior so I decided to add a black and red pinstripe. Upon receiving my car I was immediately happy i made the choice to pinstripe it. I'm interested to see how many fellow members have gone the route of putting pinstripes on their cars. These aren't the greatest photos. Took them on my iPhone.

I like it!! And I've thought of doing it.
Not for everyone for sure, but it does add pizzazz and individualizes.
I've seen stripes that have an arrow like design at the front.

I'm all about customization to suit your personal taste, but pinstripes on anything produced after the year 1995 is just plain tacky, IMHO. You're driving a $60K+ car and you have made it look like the showroom special at the local Nissan dealership.

Pinstripes are as bad as using the word 'bro'.

Do whatever you like, but when you say you think it sets the car apart... I agree. I think your car looks a lot more like the car below than mine does.

I agree it sets your care apart from others... in a bad way! I am in your age demographic and I would not call this "art". Plus, it's out of place. Sorry...

When I was a kid, I loved playing with stickers too.

In all seriousness, if you like it than that's all that matters. There's plenty of folks on here with tacky ass mods, so I think two tiny stripes are not a big deal.

Yeah. The reason i choose pinstripes/ racing stripes is because i like contrast. Do you guys not like contrast or you like contrast in different forms? I understand everyones opinion and can take criticism unlike some uptight people lol.

Well, you don't need to hear my negative opinion, I'm sure you Google-ed "pinstripe M3." As one member of m3forum eloquently put it: "pinstripe? why don't you just poo on the hood and drive around with it instead?"
