Thinking of ordering this ///M-themed bag for commuting... too much?

I'm ordering a new messenger bag/man purse for commuting to work via public transit. I am toying with the idea of customizing the color scheme, and while playing around I made this color combo below.

Is it too "loud" for anyone older than highschool age?
Is it too "typical BMW owner douchey"?

Part of me says that it's a little feminine, but then again I do drive a little 2 seater convertible so I guess I can deal with it. But I'd prefer it to not look like a women's bag to be honest.

Timbuk2 bags are great quality and very durable. I've used one of their laptop bags for over five years and it still looks almost brand new. I went with black and a single gray stripe color scheme though.

My last Timbuk2 bag had the top handle start to rip off after several years of loading probably way too much stuff into it, so they gave me store credit for a new one. Great stuff and great customer service! But what's your opinion on the color scheme? Good? Bad? Douchey? Feminine? Stupid? Pretentious?

96.34% of people aren't going to know what the colors represent. It won't even be douchey. They're just going to think "Wow. What a fruity bag!".

No one will recognize the colors besides fanatics. If you like it get it who cares what people think. If people would think you'd look cool with a pink bag would you use one?

If you're looking for a "speshhhul" kind of bar. I say go for it. That would go over very well here in Austin or in San Francisco.

Its not like it says BMW or M on it. That would be douchey. Like keepittrill said, no ones really gonna know its BMW. Its loud but not feminine. Its your style, if you like it, buy it.

i'm all about flash but that looks tacky, like something u pick up at a flea market or something, i'd get a black bag with a ///M logo in the center or something, and like other said most people won't even know that's for M, if you wanna flash make sure they know!

Can you do the inside of the flap in those colors? So leave the exterior the plain solid color, but the inside of the flap will always remind you of the next weekend drive.

Buy a Chrome or Mission bag if you're actually going to use it.

Actually, I think the color combo is pretty cool knowing what it represents. The general public won't know what it means, which is why posters are suggesting most people will think it is just a three color rainbow. Honestly, who cares what other people think, so if you like it, go for it. For me, I usually stick with simple colors like black and gray for my bags and luggage because it usually hides wear and tear better, plus those colors never go out of style. Of course, some people may consider that mentality to be boring.

I agree. (That's a very specific number by the way, looks like someone did some research.)

In my opinion, anything BMW-related should be either kept at home or in the car itself. Being a fan is kinda something personal I guess, therefore should be kept "personal". Maybe a bag for going out with family and friends or other BMW lovers? Other than that, running around telling the world seems a little extreme to me.

Imagine someone wearing a BMW or ///M shirt and cap taking the bus or something. I find that a bit of a weird idea haha seems more like the sort of thing for those crazy Twilight or Justin Bieber fans.
No offence intended, Twilight/Bieber fans!

At the end of the day it all comes down to personal choice. This is the way I think but I don't judge and have nothing against people who go out showing everyone what they're fans of. Some might find it ridiculous though, others just won't be bothered at all.

If you like the idea of showing it off, go ahead and do it. If you don't feel comfortable about it or fear others judging, use that bag for other purposes/in a different environment, or just don't use it at all.
