Trying to decide between two M3s

Hey guys, my long search for an M3 seems to have narrowed down to two at this point and I'm torn on what one I should go with. One of them is used and semi-loaded while the other is brand new, but with pretty much no options:

2010 e92
Melbourne Red
20,000 miles
Premium Pkg
Cold Weather Pkg
Satellite
BlueTooth
Moonroof
6MT

2011 e92
Melbourne Red
CF Roof
6MT

Your input is appreciated on the matter.

The 2011. I for one don't need a lot of options, but would miss the heated seats and wouldn't want manual seats in this car.

I'd get the 2011 or search for a lower mileage 2010. You should be able to find a used car to save money, but at the same time, without losing out on too many features.

The new one OF COURSE! Unless if th used is significantly cheaper and we know its not...
So you have no idea what happened to the old one....hello! this is not a camry!

These are high performance engines--accuracy instruments
and sensitive cars.

If you take care of them they take care of you
If you are considering the new M3 without options this is obviously a serious
investment for you. Don't make the mistake with the used 2010.

And forget the arguments that these cars are 'built to last' are built for
the track ...'it doesn't matter how much they pushed them' etc...
Yeah its true they are built to last
but again,
The amounts of strain that an inconsiderate driver can put on this particular
car because its a 'young soul' magnet, can be enormous...
you will never ever know what happened to the used one.

Good news is that even if my car has options, I never pay attention to them
the car drives so interesting that I forget all the gadgets...

The rates on the '12 models are looking terrible right now, so if I can get an '11 I would rather go that route.

The 2010 is 57k MSRP and they are going to let it go for around 50k. The 2011 is a 61k MSRP that they are willing to sell for 57k. The only thing I don't like about the 2010 is the sunroof, otherwise I would have probably bought it already.

It would be about $100-150 extra per month with the current rates.

what a rip off...

well..look IMHO M3 can only be a new car...

unless if you are paying below 50% MSRP...on an auction or something
which you don't.

I mean from the moment you are paying 50K+
for 7-10K I would never let the virgin M3 go :thump:

If it was a 7 series or some kind of a non-sensitive car I would say ok but again,
50K for a used car is sick.

This is an instrument its not a car...

I guess the main question about the '11 is, would I be able to retrofit things such as the sat radio, ipod adapter, compass mirror, etc down the line if I wanted to?

Go for new bro... you never know what the previous owner might have done to the car. You're already paying lots of money for it, so don't risk it for a few bucks in savings.

Fixed.

Check other banks, most of them are below 3% APR for 60 months if you are financing.

At first glance I'd have said the 2010 because it has options I really like in my car: sat radio, heated seats, bluetooth. And also because used cars typically are a far better value than buying new.

However, I'll actually say the new one in this case. The fact that it's new is a strike against it in my book, but the CF roof is key. That was a major design feature of the E92 both style wise and to a lesser extent performance wise. It's a must have in my book.

Go new who cares about options....theyre mostly there to impress people more of a bragging right stuff. The only option needed is a 4.0 V8 enough to keep me entertained.

Thanks for the input so far guys. It seems like the consensus is the 2011, just waiting for the dealer to put together some numbers for me.
