I'd probably rather get a GT3 for that kind of money. However, I'd love to see this car produced so that I could put some of the parts on my current M3.

Mirrors have a completely different design than that of stock M3.

Please BMW make this car. This would be the perfect showcase of efficient dynamics.
Do I see rollcage? |

BMW does make this car...personally saw it at a plant tour in Regensburg...we werent allowed to take pictures...but it does have a full roll cage in it...and after the car is built...its "re-built" by a different team at the plant...its not street legal at all...and is only allowed on the track...I dont really remember all the tech specs on it...but definetly a kick ass M3 for the price

The photographer has done a very good job - high speed lense and camera - to get details of a spinning wheel. Unless it was parked exiting the apex and the driver putting up show. The wheel arches are nice and filled and looks sick.
Definitely it's not a tuner car. When did the tuners use special antenna's to data log from car to factory/M centre at the 'ring. I am convinced BMW will build a hardcore version in limited numbers and one will have to sell thyself to buy one. The CSL sold for over AUD$70,000 over the run of the mill M3 and all 22 that came to Australia sold out like hot cakes. The economy down turn is not going to stop "I must have one" kind of buyers from buying them. The true M3 enthusiasts can only dream!
