Using the 328i as the template (BMW USA figures):

Sedan: 3340 lbs
0-60: 6.3secs
Wagon: 3527 lbs (187)
0-60: 6.5secs
Vert: 3792 lbs (265)
0-60: 6.7secs

I'm afraid the Vert still looks just as heavy.

So I looked it up. Then I was ROTFL!!! All things being equal, 328i vert vs. 328i wagon, the vert weighs 265lbs MORE! So the M3 vert would weigh MORE than the M3 Wagon!

328i vert= 3,792
328i wag= 3,527

I think it looks cool! (of course ANY car with those beautiful 19" wheels will look stunning)

Has BMW ever made an M3 Touring? We all know the M5 exists... just curious.

a wagon doesnt weigh much more than a sedan, theres not that much extra sheet metal and its not necessary to strengthen the chassi like a vert

I also prefer the weight distribution on the wagon vs. the vert!

Wag: 48.4/51.6 %
Vert: 50.3/49.7 %

And what could be funnier than a long sustained drift in a wagon.
I'd pay to see that. Unfortunately my wifes is the xi version so no slides for me. Handling in the wet is fantastic though. I'd like to try an M3 with an uprated version of the awd in the wet.

Funny, I do that every day in my wagon. Literally (this time of year).
