New Akrapovic Evolution Installed Today

Definitely worth every expensive cent!!!

I removed my Remus Sport and Fab speed Set Up. I still loved this and the performance gains were fantastic, but I felt that the Remus had a drone that began to irritate me. I had no trouble selling the Fabspeed, so it came off and straight onto another car. He had a Schnitzer rear box, and it didn't sound like it had as much drone as I had with the Remus Sports.

The Akra Evo is the most awesome sounding exhaust I have ever heard. Not too loud, much less drone, (thank God). Sounds like stock at idle and gets progressively more aggressive as you crank it up. Performance feels like the car has more mid range torque with this system.

It looks like something that should be OEM on the car!! It even looks like an OEM product. Really top notch quality, didn’t need to even adjust anything, bolted perfectly into place in less than 45 minutes.

I noticed that configuration is different to Fab speed and OEM:
1. The downpipes delete all cats etc and the 100 cell HFCs are further down near the X Pipe. (Fab speed has 200 cell HFC right after the headers & OEM has primary Cats...ugly things)
2. Then there is a balancing section that allows gases to flow from left and right sides before the 100 cell HFCS. (Fabspeed and OEM only has X Pipe for this)
3. Then the X Pipe which repeats function of 2 above.
4. Then resonators
5. Then extended pipes to rear silencers

The weight of these pieces had the exhaust fitment center staring in disbelief. Its so light its a joke!! The price also had them staring in disbelief, but they are hillbillies, so what do they know?

Nate at IND hooked me up
FedEx shipped it all the way to Kazakhstan in 4 days.

Yes I know I have holes in my rear bumper, I took the VRS rear diffuser off, as I couldn't wait for next week when it goes in for front splitter removal and bumper painting.

Akra looks much better without Christmas decorations hanging off the car to detract from its simplicity

Akra's exhaust is easily the best looking one out there.

Nice choice. I had my shop wipe the entire exhaust down with alcohol before burning it in, otherwise I've had every fingerprint or residue on the ti turn into a different color of blue/brown/purple with time.

Congrats on the Akra and awesome setup! Agreed, Akra exhaust best sounding without being too loud (yes, should've sounded like this stock), and to me, best looking of all. Of course I have one too (albeit only a slip on). Got mine from RennSpec and they installed, real simple, real fast... and yes they did wipe it down right after install to make sure the finger prints, etc are off.

Do you have any CEL issue on yours?

Also, anyone with it have any tips on cleaning? Will a PS21 metal polish work? Been using wet MF towel, but doesn't clean that well.

Best exhaust on the market if price was not a factor. Nice to see the HFC's won't compromise ground clearance.

To reply to the above ??
Driven about 60 miles so far, and no CEL but I have had a custom tune for the fabspeed set up previously and had nothing. But I only drove about 300 miles with that set up so not so much with full systems yet.

To clean I would use a soft mutton cloth with a bit of methylated spirits on it to remove grease and grime, without being abbrasive. I would say metal polish would be abbrassive and wouldn't chance it on the matt titanium finish.

Slip on system alone is $3700, full system $6200

the clearance is just like OEM. And it bolts right on front front to back nd require zero adjustment to line up tail pipes!! Only thing to adjust is how far out the end pipes/tips you want to stick out.

Drove today to BMW to fit performance seats, and they all loved the akra system. First one they saw.

Got Airbag lights from seat install but they will get codes from Germany to clear them/reprogramme the seats.

Then why did you waste your money on Remus + Fabspeed.

Nice and congrats This looks like the exhaust I will be getting next for my car. I am wondering how this exhaust will work out with the Turner Motorsports tune. Would be nice if one could get the same gains or more with this exhaust as advertised on their website with their cat delete.
