How to polish wheels?
Hi Guys,
I been trying to do some research on how to polish my wheels. I have the premium 19" wheels that come on the E90/92/93. Any recommendations? My wheels need some serious cleaning polishing. Thanks |

In general, what would be a good product to polish the wheels with? I'm not sure if the wheels are aluminum, metal or something else. I looked at them closely and they look like they have clear coat which I'm assuming I should treat them like paint (compound, polish, wax).
They are the 19" Premium wheels. |

I use plain soap and water but I also clean my wheels frequently (once a week)..that imo is the key... cleaning them often will prevent dirt, brake dust ect. from being embedded into the wheels causing pitting and discoloration. Try to post some pics if you can |

OP, your wheels are just dirty. If they are absolutely filthy, use some Sonax and a brush. If they aren't that bad, plain car wash and water with a mitt will get it all off...

We sell a kit that will both clean and protect the wheels - not to mention it kicks ass.

Alright, the first 4 pictures are the wheel. The last one, is a scratch on the fender (debating whether it could be fixed with touch-up paint or take it somewhere (I have Automotive Touch-up paint). The 2 pictures before the last one is the black trim which I have no idea how to take that off. Looks like oxidation but I have tell if it's plastic or painted. |
