Anthracite OEM 19's

Put two of my re-ferbed winter wheels on this morning................and I think I've chosen the wrong colour

The quality of the finish is great but I reckon I should've gone for a lighter anthracite or one with more silver fleck in it as I think they are too dark/too flat. Maybe a shadow chrome finish?

They look good in direct sunlight (as per bottom pic) but on an overcast day like today I'm not sure.

What do you guys think?

Cheers

I think the Rims dont stand out due to the Color of your car, I went with Matte Black on my SSII. There are pictures in my Album, i did Double Layer on the clear coat.. Needs that strong Protection =). cheers.

I think they look great! That is the exact color I want to do on my stockers but with a little more gloss, hope you don't mind if I copy you.....if you did them again, a little fleck would add that extra pop in the sun.

I think they look great! The contrast isn't that big I suppose, so if they were hypothetically much darker they may be stand out more but as they are they is nice too.

Wasn't happy with the anthracite colour (first pics) so had them re-done in a shadow chrome finish.
Much happier now but still wonder what a dark gloss anthracite would look like - can't afford to change them again (they are my winter wheel/tyre set)

Thoughts?

I think the anthracite you used on your first try was much better.
