M Year!

(x-post)

2011 was M year for me. I ordered in 2010 but took European delivery in 2011, redelivery an eternity later. Got hit by a nun, waited again, and have now driven 7 hours through a snow storm.

I love this car, I've drank enough champagne to love the help of the forum members here! Especially:

- Heath
- Will
- Duncan
- Mark
- Jamie
And each of you who coaxed me back from the cliff during the re-delivery wait.

Happy New Year!

James

Cheers James! Happy new year to you too. May 2012 bring you and your family loads of happiness and joy and of course, many many miles on the M. Oh, and maybe a few more mods for each of us!

Will.

Why no love for me and my tracking updates?. I hope it is the champagne that caused this forgetfulness.

I do understand your mention of those names though, definitely four of the greatest guys out there, and I am glad to say I have had the privilege to personally meet all of them.

Congrats on your M year and thank you for your contributions to the forum. It is nice to have members like yourself on the forum who make well written, unbiased and intelligent posts.

I hope 2012 is just as good for you as 2011 was, I look forward to your posts in the future!!!

Welcome to the Canadian M3 family!!!

Your right Jamie, I owe you a debt of gratitude. I'll chalk it up to the champagne and the default anti narcissistic tendency to overlook thanking someone who goes by the same name as me. :P

Thanks for the kind words and welcome.

I appreciate the correction, and now I am in BOLD!

True enough on overlooking someone going by the same name, I have done it myself.

By the way, remove the bold! I hate being in the spotlight

About six weeks, and I can tell you for free, those six weeks are a lot longer than the ~3.5 months from order to ED.

A few weeks ago... long story...

I have a new 2 month old baby at home too! My third. I just got very skilled at holding the baby and feeding the baby with one arm (my left) and typing with my right hand. I refuse to let children get in the way of coupe ownership or forum time

Crazy. I have a boy who just turned 2 and a boy who will be three months on Friday. Over the holidays we all loaded up the E90 and threw on the roof box for the family tour of Ontario.

It took us 7 hours to drive from Kitchener to Ottawa on the 29th through a snow storm that left the 401 covered for the first 400 km night drive. Tense stuff.

Anyway congrats on your third, and also on the C63. Love the sound of that car, and I'd love to check out a coupe some day if you're passing through Ontario.

James

Congratulations to both of you on your additions to your families. And I mean the kids, not the C63, Heath! I can't believe you can still get away with a coupe with three kids. Let's see a photo of three seats squeezed in the back!

James, you'd better brush up on your one-handed feeding techniques. Haven't seen you around in a while!

W.
