Exclamation Quick tire decision

Since im not getting replies on the tire section, and I have to make a quick decision..

Okay, just to make sure.

I got my Advan RS wheels today in the sizes of 19X9J and 19X10J.

Are these tires a good choice for these wheels:

FRONT: 255/35ZR19 XL Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 Blackwall
$292.00 (closeout price)

REAR: 275/35ZR19 XL Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
$360.00

They are not BMW spec. I can get fronts in BMW spec for $356 or normal for $292.

Any comments or suggestions guys?

As long as you're willing to live with a little speedo error and a load rating that may not quite match. OEM front is 93Y and back is 97Y. I have no idea how that maps to XL

Thanks, i bought the tires. They are 96Y Front and 100Y Rear. Is that better or worse? Also is the speedo error that bad?

The load rating on the tires you purchased is better (ie higher)

Stock
93 = 1433lbs
97 = 1609lbs
Yours
96 = 1565lbs
100 = 1764lbs

The diameter will be about 1.04% larger. So the speedo would read about 59.3 if you were 60mph. So less than 1mph impact.

I heard that the BMW spec tires may have a more rigid sidewall, but I don't know for sure. Impact should be minimal anyhow.

You mean less speedo error, right? The M3 speedometer already reads about 5% fast. Adding taller tires reduces that error.

> load rating = stiffer sidewall = harsher ride. But you may not care.
