I have so much respect for pilots. they have the toughest job in the world yet hte most rewarding..they see the earth from a completely different angle, pun intended.

Very cool. I once flew in an Air Canada A330 and we had a B747-400 coming at us practically head on (it was safely a few thousand feet below). At a combined speed of over 1500 kph that goes fast.

About 30 years ago I hitched a ride in the cockpit jump seat on a Sabena 737 from Algiers to Brussels.Once we were in European airspace at about 37000 feet we had lots of intersecting traffic both below & above us.The majority of traffic was our general size but we did have a 747 cross our path at about a 45 degree angle a couple of thousand feet belowe us.A very memorable flight to say the least which was made better by both the flight crew having been trained in Canada.

I took a flight in the cockpit of Olympic airlines A340 saw a Kalitta Airlines (cargo) 747 fly 1000 feet above us head on. If the general flying public ever saw how close planes appear to fly to each other it'd be pretty easy to upgrade to biz class. Second best flight of my life. First was Concorde, Toronto to Heathrow.

What you see isn't really the smoke, but mostly the water vapor (obviously there is smoke, it is burning a sh*t load of fuel).
The coolest part is the outboard engine contrails getting wrapped in the HUGE wing tip vortices!

Pretty cool vid! I have been on the A380 a couple of times and it is as huge as it looks! Its pretty cool to being looking out the and see other planes coming at you during a flight.
