Best recommended spacers with 18" no spring drop?
Trying to do my homework here and am interested in spaces. So far my ride is stock with 18" wheels. What does everyone recommend for the best spacer option (not too extream) with stock springs? I may go with H&R springs down the road at a later date. Do spacers add a real benefit to the ride? Will they cause stress on the bearings also? Which is the best spacer set up as far as size, Front/Rear, manufacture of spacers? Thanks,

They help the handling a teeeenie tiny bit by widening your stance, but the difference is so negligible it's like having a case of water in the car versus not
Your best option is always to measure how much room you have before the fender and allow 1mm of space for when you have passengers. I'd say that's probably 5mm front and 5-10mm rear TOPS. Also, go with H&R spacers, never had a complaint! JL |

how can all these people be installing the VMR CSL replicas? i have a set of 18" (soon to be installed) and the offset for the front is 20 which is 9mm further out than the stock ET29 so that is outside the 5mm limit you said was ok |

For the M3, I believe most people get 10mm front and 12-15mm rear, we sell that package all day long. Some people even buy 12mm front and 15m rear. You should still measure, though. |

Thanks fella's, I've read where like 20mm goes in the front, 15mm in the back. Not sure why people are doing that. Maybe it's required. We should research this a bit more. I'm curious as I might opt for it. J, get some sleep

I am presuming because the tire is wider in the rear than the front thats what it would take to make front and back tires look flush against the fender.

I'd go with H&R

You also have to understand that...
More you pull out the wheel, more wheel gap is pronounced. We usually do not recommend wheel spacers unless you have decent ride height because those spacers will make wheel gap bigger than what it is... |

15 front, 12 rear looks best. If you want that really wide look, go 15mm in the rear but I think it looks a bit funky.

i thought most people did this mod for the exact opposite reason to close the gap not make it bigger?
