Got done over by a copper in an unmarked Mitsubishi Evo X – I saw him in the mirrors goading me into a run but when I declined and pulled into the slow lane he stopped me and issue a ticket – I’d be sure he thought it was a trophy kill to tell the boys back at the office about. Complete put up job.

What really bothers me about the speeding ticket scenario - is that EVERYBODY speeds, we all know it and do it. It's really a revenue redistribution for the local muni...which if you get caught - is what it is....the part I find really bogus is that your insurance company gets to raise your rates for something everybody does anyway! I'd suggest that if a person is ticketed for speeding of only 15mph or less over the limit - it doesn't even go to your record. Only if you are sited for being reckless (say speeding dangerously in an congested area, blowing through a school zone, or if you had 4 speeding tickets in a year)...then your insurance company might have just cause to think you are driving dangerously and raise your rates accordingly. But what do I know, I'm in favor of term limits for ALL politicians and a flat tax too

^ AFAIK, Insurance companies do not see tickets that are 10mph over or less...
ALWAYS go to court! In my 13 years of driving, I've only had one ticket over 10mph over go on my record. That was when I was 16 and didn't know any better. Since, I've fought every ticket and ALWAYS get probation or get it dropped. Even a 117 in a 65. Well, dating the assistant district attorney's daughter might have had a little bit to do with that one ticket too =P

They make about $95k after 5 years without OT. That isn't bad for a civil servant.

This is why I want my girlfriend and her friends to come along with me when I go to unfamiliar places. They've used there assets before to get them out of write ups. Cleavage goes a long way...

I feel your pain man! Cops are always checking out my car. I was driving down the street and there was a bike cop right next to me, and he was staring at me the car the entire time! I don't know if he was admiring the car, or just trying to find something wrong with it!

The fact that you can't see past the bad few (or stop calling them names) and recognize that the majority of cops are good people providing a service that you don't have the balls to do just shows the problem is you and not the cops.
