That's roll racing... get both on a track for a real quarter mile run!

GT500's are running 10.2's@135+ with bolt ons and dr's!
I'm not sure about that, my assumption is that if both cars
(GT500 and McLaren) were equal at high speed on the highway, the DCT car would get the advantgage on the 0-100mhp(given they both had DRs)! Seems to me like a DCT tranny helps even more at lower speed where the gears are shorter and there is even more shifting to do!

Anyway, the GT500 is an incredible machine for the price and I respect it and their buyers but it's lacking too much in a lot of department to be interesting for me! A DCT M3 with 650hp that you can exploit in almost every situation seems a lot more appealling then a 750-800hp Stang that can't put the power down under 70-80mph or without DRs!

Actually, it's more like 9.XXs with bolt ons and Dr's.

exactly. Build quality is huge, especially if you're spending close to $69k on a ride.

Granted going from that Cobra to my BMW was a huge leap in style, luxury and especially handling. But either way I really want that new 2014 Porsche GT3 but with $135k starting price, thats pretty steep. So back to the question, has anyone thought about the GT500 or gone and got one?
Not a gt500 but a boss302, yes! If you're into muscle, there's no replacement for the gt500 and the worlds most powerful production v8(is that outdated info?)

I miss my boss302 and one of the few cars I regret selling. If you can get one below msrp, I would jump on it. The resale on those are so good that you can change your mind at any time and return to an m3
I believe the SLS AMG Black Series engine holds the honor for most powerful production NA v8 (:

Well it makes sense since it has basicly the same engine has the C63 507 which is N/A with only ~50hp more! I don't know why I always thought it had a supercharger!
