Hey, I'm looking at exhaust and upgrades posts all the time for E92 M3's, and at the risk of sounding like I'm a friggin' remus die hard, here's my three cents - as it were. I've had three beamers with remus' on each one. The first one came on my E30 325is (still miss that lil' bad boy) and I don't even know how old the system was when I got the car in the late 90's. Sounded great the day I sold it in '04. Had one on my brother's, then my, E39 525i, and now on my E36 M3. They all have the same sort of deep tone I liked so much on my original one, and they didn't / don't seem to get louder. When and if I ever get my hands on a clean, unthrashed used E92 m3, I'm going with the remus race. All the vids and sound clips I've seen, it really doesn't seem obnoxious, and the price on 'em is by far the best. For a Euro built product to be that competitive, somebody's doing something right over there in Austria. Yeah, like most of the others, I'd say remus, and probably a fabspeed X pipe in front. But if you're a little sensitive on the aural side, maybe their sport version would be your cup of tea. I think "sfbimmer13" had a really good comparo on one of these forums. Don't know if it was this one though. RM

I don't even have my M3 yet, but I'm considering getting electronic cutouts. Switch between stock exhaust when I'm on a trip and just want to listen to music, then bypass the muffler when I want to hear the engine in it's full glory.

Just recently got my M3 and am thinking of which exhaust to get. The car sounds good, but can be much more aggressive sounding I think. Don't know which to get yet though....

Kcdude24, found that link I talked about in an earlier post, check out:
on Youtube. This guy does a back to back comparo on remus sport , vs. remus race. The sport version is the one I'd put on a DD. |

Thx...I did find that one and thought both sounded great...I think the wall also helps with the sound in the video. I really like the Remus sport tone but I'm concerned it is a bit too mild...it would be really great hear feedback on the Remus sport vs. the Gintani sport rear sections only. |
