Snow tire questions 19" - what will fit?

I found a pair of Blizzak LM-25 265/35 19's for the rears at a great price, but can't find the LM-25's in the 245/35 R19 for the front wheels anywhere.

I can find the fronts in 245/40 - could I use these with 265/35 on the rears (even though it has 245/35 on fronts stock)? What would be the handling tradeoff?

Conversely - can I use '40' height all around (even though the car is spec'd for 35?)

Can someone point me to more information on this.

Alternatively I can find the fronts in a 245/35 19 but only in a Blizzak LM-60. Could I mix these two tires? Or is this a bad idea?

I am new to this so any help would be really appreciated.

I'm looking forward to getting the car (e93 M3) in about a month.

I believe LM60's are slowly replacing LM25's I have 255/35 fronts and 275/35 rears. The second number is a ratio of width to sidewall height so the rear number tends to be smaller as the width gets bigger so that the sidewalls remain similar in height to one another.

But will a 225/35 R 19 fit on the front 245/35 rim. I would rather go narrow to improve traction but don't want to compromise safety and handling. What would be better a 265 or 225 on the front wheels?

Thanks

225 says will fit a 8.5 rim width click the specs tab and they have the info there.

I ran the 225/265 setup last winter. Not ideal but for the price it was worth it. I didn't push it hard on this setup but it seemed fine in normal driving. I thought the 225 fronts would be stretched but they actually look like a 245. I guess the 40 profile helps.

Btw, I spoke with tirerack prior to ordering and they said it would be fine. Like I said, not ideal but it works.
