Very nice shots ...But Mullholland "Highway"?

I thought it was just a winding, 2 lane road high up in the mountains if you are talking about this one in LA.

Yes, it becomes "Mulholland Hwy" at the light near the Gelson's/ Shell station.

Pic from the same overlook, clear day:

Thanks for the info. I never made it that far there so my ignorance was semi-justified., I guess

Awesome shots as always, FStop7.

The guy in Pic #1 needs a better visor. And the dude in Pic #4 proves that riding a very cool bike does not necessarily mean you look good.

you don't like clear visors?

i love how easily it is to see out of a clear.

mind you, i can't put my visor up without my eyes pouring out water.... so i just stick to sunglasses and a really light tint.

I have a helmet with a clear visor, but it has a drop down shield on the inside, so it looks tinted, but isn't a pain when it gets dark (little switch on the side)

I have another helmet with a yellowish/slgihtly mirrored tint (it's a Suomy helmet though, and it's just nuts, so the yellow is the simplist thing on it.)

and i have another really simple one with an opening face as well as the visor, but i never bothered to get a tinted visor for it, the sunglasses work well in it.

I do like the black on black, but if i'm riding and it gets close to sunset, the last thing i want is to pull over and fumble around switching visors.

So now having seen the Diavel in person I think it's pretty awesome. I don't know which I'd rather have - that or the BMW S1000RR. They're two completely different types of bikes but they're both so awesome.

Oh and here's a video of the silver 600RR crashing. Photographer who runs up to the rider is not me.

that's why you're supposed to put sliders on, protects the side of your bike if you go down....

how's that 1DmkII working out for you? still happy with it?

Something on the road or just piss poor tires? Didn't seem like he was doing anything that should have caused that slide.

I'm gonna say he was unbalanced, he went up half way throught the turn, then went back down and shifted around a bit, if you watch the slow motion, he's fidgeting on the seat and i think he just upset the balance and got the bike too low and the rear wheel slid out.

could be wrong.

I was thinking he looked like he was relying too much on his knee slider. Put too much weight on them, which takes it off the bike, and I could see the rear getting loose.

Guys this road is notoriously sandy in this turn, im sure he just washed out. It happens daily on this road, and probably 3 times on the weekends lol

One of my favorite places to drive my e90

That corner is tricky because it is off camber and uphill (can't exactly tell from vids). As such, you quickly exceed the lean angle the bike/rider combo is capable of. Result: low side.

And a Diavel in the wild, sweet!
