That last day of work feeling

Today is the last day of work for me before I start my new job in August. I will be taking a 2 week vacation in Turkey and Greece before then.

Last time I changed jobs was back in 2006 so I haven't had this feeling for a while. I have to say, this feels good, really good.

interesting, even when I hate my job I really never like leaving it. Always have that 'fear' of the unknown

same here. it's an "old school" mentality. when you've developed enough professional contacts, you'll be able to get work, that's what I've learned.

oh I have the contacts, the experience, and whatever to find another job. That's what's so weird to me. I know I'll never have trouble finding another job, but I still have that fear/sinking feeling. I've switched jobs within the same career 6-7 times already, so it's not like it's an unknown feeling to me haha

My last day of Active Duty, I forgot something back at the shop and went to pick it up on my way out of San Diego headed to Chicago. I parked in the SNCOIC's spot *gasp* and ran into the shop in flip-flops *double gasp*, grabbed my shit, and left.

It felt so good to be so bad.

yeah I know what you're saying, i get the same thing. Luckily, I had a job lined up before I left. So no gap in pay or insurance.

4 more hours to go, all my stuff is packed, had lunch with a few co-workers, signed off on my voicemail, just got my farewell email message to type...
