I'll post some pics when I get my Invicta in. In the mean time, I'll be looking for a watch WITH a metal band. Maybe something a little bit nicer too.
Check out Nordstrom Rack at Legacy Village. They might have something like what you're looking for, but for a better price than elsewhere.

I love those Breitlings but they are way out of my price range right now.

Thanks.
Real-The Royal Navy issused Rolex Submariners to members of the SBS. These watches wore nylon NATO bands. Link showing brief history of the Royal Navy Rolex.

Movies- James Bond(Connery) often wore his Submariner on a NATO and is visible in the movies. There are a couple of great stills showing so. Heres just two.

4 months ago I traded in my JLC Master Reveil for this one, PAM 320:

But my daily deskdiver atm is this one(I traded in my 2008 DeepSea for this 116610LN)

I'm looking for a PAM 233(am/pm, not the dots) or 270 but they're still rather expensive...

Tag Heure Calibre 36. It's really disapointing because it clashes with everything I wear, but beautiful to stare at engineering wise. I'm going to get a Breitling next.

What kind of watch? Rolex authorized service, done at a RSC is over $500 @ 5-7 year interval I believe. From what I hear is they do a stem to stern job and remove all scratches, new waterproof gaskets, lubrication and send you back a brand new looking watch. Havent done mine yet, another 2 years it will be due.

I second that. Hammies are somewhat 'starter' watches/timepieces and, as noted, are no longer an American company. They're owned by Swatch...who also happens to make the same ETA movements used in a number of other, finer (i.e. bigger name) timepieces. For the price, Hamilton is usually a pretty good value (swiss movement, sapphire crystal, solid build, etc...) and come in a variety of case sizes (38-46mm). I say usually because a few of their watches (e.g. Railroad auto-chrono or BelowZero auto-chrono) are at a price point where you could get something w/ more 'street cred,' if that's your thing, like a Tag. There's also a 'niceness,' IMHO, to having something not as common (which is just one reason I love my Lum-Tec Combat B8).

Note, too, that you could also get a watch and pick up a separate steel band that you could swap out. You can pick up a springbar tool (if you want) to help remove the pins to get the watch strap off for pretty cheap.

Hamilton Jazzmaster Auto Chrono (not my pic):

Lum-Tec Combat B8

I'd also have a Portofino Chronograph in my small collection but I recently spent my timepiece monies on new camera gear instead. Oh well.
