Hello,

Just got the M3 before winter, can't wait for the spring, put on summer tires and take it to the track!

Never tracked my car before (only drag strip at Cayuga), can I follow one of you guys to a track event? Drive up together and give me some pointers.

I'm located downtown TO.

Not a problem. Just keep an eye on this thread and when there is a track day we're gearing up for you'll see it here. Just chime in and ask about how you want to participate.

Got this from Apex today with their Mosport GP dates.

Apex drivers,

The 2013 season is around the corner and we are looking forward to getting back on the track.

CTMP (Mosport) has undergone several changes in the off-season and proves to be an exciting drive this year.

We have worked with CTMP to secure 7 events for 2013. There has been a lot of interest in the track this year, and dates were very limited.
Apex will be using the new event centre on the outside of corner 10 for registration, classroom and lunch.

All of the new facilities and track improvements have led to increased costs. We have worked hard to keep our 2013 pricing as close to last year as possible.

There are 3 price points for 2013

Novice $599.00 plus HST

Intermediate $549.00 plus HST

Advanced Intermediate $499.00 plus HST

Advanced $499.00 plus HST

2013 Schedule

June 3

July 17, July 25

August 12

September 4

October 3, October 17

To book your events contact

Gerry Bachmann phone 647 622 0995 email apexdriving@gmail.com

Alright people, it's time to start planning for Calabogie!!!

I've been talking to the good folks over at CMP, and assuming we can get a certain number of people pre-paying for track days, I'll be able to get us a fantastic price on track days. I can't reveal the numbers yet, but it'll be cheaper than a track day at Mosport even including a hotel stay for the night. If you're interested, please post here, and i'll keep track of numbers.

If you've never been to Calabogie you owe it to yourself to come. This is easily one of the best tracks in North America, and the M3 is perfectly suited to this course.

Please note that this offer will be valid for experienced drivers only. It's ok if you've never been to Calabogie before, but you will need to have some track day experience to partake in this offer.

Most track day events have various levels with instructors, some with classroom "diving theory" too.

Most dealerships have annual events which are not too bad but some may say they are a little $$$
Apex is one among others is an option.

Keep in mind that some groups may require more than others.....i.e. pre-track safety inspections, mandatory helmets etc.

So far this year I'm signed up for Budds on June 24 and Apex on July 25. Looking for one in May and maybe one more late summer, early fall.

Got the PM. Will look into it later this week.

And yes you can count on me and the rest of the usual folks in June. I don't think we will go to the second dates later this summer though.

Chris - just let him know when you might be interested or how many days you are interested in. You dont need to specify exact days in advance.

PM him (or me if you like) for details

EDIT - never mind, those porsche guys seem to reply fast.....

I'm in for 2 days... since I already have 4 days planned this summer at Calabogie.

How are the sessions planned... 30 minutes in, 30 minutes out? about 3 hours of track?

Usually CMP/EnTrack does 20 minute sessions, with 40 minutes off. But on advanced only days, 30 on, 30 off.
