The airbox is from CA Auto UK. We are the official US distributor for all CA Auto CF parts. Please check this link http://www.ind-distribution.com/deta...make=44&part=5

$4,450!!! May be a bit much! I think I'd rather save that for something else. The CF interior seems to be a great price though.

It looks like it is just the top that is CF. Is the entire box CF?

Yeah, I read the website but the bottom section doesn't look like CF.

Info on the air box.

100% Carbon Fiber Air Box - Plenum

-direct replacement for factory part
-saves approx 4 kgs in weight
-full pre preg carbon construction ( not a laminate)
-improved internal volume and flow characteristics
-no reprogramming of ECU required

Underside portion is made with the original BMW part to ensure a 100% perfect fit; 75% of the box is 100% pre preg carbon fibre, NOT a laminate.

Clear enough! Any chance of a discount? Would it fit the AA front strut bar since the air box is larger?

Ok, so it's $4.4k just for the top part being CF. Rather steep.
Can we get a better pic of the underside than is on your site? Having trouble picturing 75% of that box is CF with it only looking like the top cover is.

Why are they so expensive? It seems like it would be better to try and produce a higher volume and sell at a lower cost. I for one would think more along the line of $500 for a CF airbox.

Question number 1 should be "Do you expect to sell more than 10 of these ever at $4,500 each?"
