Question Did BMW Increase Lease Prices ???

did something happen for 2013 models? why are bmw lease prices so high now? 2-3 months ago, i got a quote for m3 at invoice:

2012 M3 Coupe
Metallic Paint
Non Extended Leather
Trim
Premium
Competition
Apps
DCT
Heated Seats
Premium Sound

12k miles 3 year lease: $774

2012 128i Coupe (recent quote at invoice)
Metallic Paint
Leather
Trim
M Sport Package W/ Paddles
Navigation
Heated Seats
Premium Package 2
Xenon Headlights
Steptronic

12k miles 3 year lease: $515

even a e92 328 convertible comes out to about $690 month with options at invoice right now...

all quotes are at invoice, us delivery, and just paying taxes, doc fees, etc up front which are all $3.3-3.5 range to keep it apples to apples.

Hard to say without more information. Assuming the 328 you note is an E9x rather than an F30, I would bet the residual value used for the outgoing model in the calculation has been lowered causing the the payments to move up. Have not kept up with money factors etc. Just my $0.02...

The down payment must have been substantial for it to have been $774 per month... unless you were quoted for euro delivery

+1
Hard to believe $774 on a 2012 without a lot of capital cost reduction.

The lease rates actually got better... Atleast compared to my 2011 E92 M3.... My money factor is .00175, whereas the money factor on the 2013 is .00145.. Both have residual of 59% (12k miles). All other things being equal, the only aspects that will control the lease payment are the money factor and residual (assuming the same selling price).

I'd say a 2013 built like yours would be about $850/$900 per month assuming like $3K total out of pocket.

$900 minimum, I would say closer to $950 depending on your tax rate.

so money factor would have to increase for higher lease payments & the residual has to be lowered for higher lease payments as well right? everyone is replying the m3 payment is going to be higher for 2013, but i would like to know why a price of a 128 coupe is only $200 shy or even the 328i conv being $74 shy of a 2012 m3 quote i got a few months ago...

2012 M3 (3 Year 10k Miles):
MF: ?
Residual: 62%

2013 M3 (3 Year 10k Miles:
MF: ?
Residual:

Money factor for the top tier credit was 0.00145 back in July. It may have increased but you should confirm with the dealer so that they won't rip you off. Residual number looks right for 15k miles/year.

Generally, BMW gives great incentives at the end of each year to help dealers get rid of current inventory. For example, lease rates on the 2012's currently are much better than the 2013's.

UK Lease Rates

Hi all

Been reading the forum with interest as I've just ordered my new M3 Coupe. Gone with contract hire where my UK dealer has an offer of £399+VAT (tax) per month. That's a total of £480 per month, of which £40 pays for my annual road tax so I pay £440 net.

This is for a new car, DCT, 19" 2 spoke alloys, heated seats and professional media package. You can specify more or different things for commensurate changes in price - overall this is some deal!

Keep up the good work guys, this forum is a blast!

Plus one. It's negotiable but in my experience they are a PIA about it. They usually mark up the acquisition fee too. GL!
