Ipad 3

I finally jumped into the ipad fray. Have no idea what I'll use it for, but sure that will present itself once I start playing with it. My business is PC based, with a little Mac quickbooks needed, so no business use that I can see. But what the hell, I want one.

The thing that sold me is that the 4g VZW plan includes hotspot for no additional cost. The internet does go out in my office, so having that as a backup is excellent insurance.

And I just want one. So there.

I had the galaxy tab 10.1 biggest waste of money it was so slow and buggy, even with its dual core processor. I got so sick of it I sold it and now pre ordered the ipad 3.

Yup, something about the Android OS that just makes their tablets seem much less fluid. Also, pretty much all of their tablet apps are just re-sized smartphone apps. So, most apps are blurry because they aren't the right size, and/or there is a lot of wasted space on the screen.

Can't wait for my 'new iPad' on the 16th! LTE is HUGE, and the retina display is going to look awesome!

While Samsung's hardware is superior compared to Apple (well apple uses Samsung for parts), Samsung's own OS isn't really that attractive. Thus, Android, which isn't up to par with iOS. Most experts in the field predict that Android and its market will eventually surpass iOS and Apple app market by 2020. So until then, I'll be using iOS for mobile solution.

I have the samsung and i bought an ipad for relatives..my screen isnt blurry nor is there wasted space.. i have used a lot of different apps. Only thing i noticed is that some of the android apps can be glitchy if from small developers..that's the price of freedom..most of the big apps work the same as on the ipad.

Not sure, maybe it was just my experience. I was playing with a Motorola XYboard and I tried playing Angry Birds and it just looked like it was stretched and pulled to fit the screen. And many of the apps pre-installed on it were just smartphone apps up-sized to fit the larger screen.

All of the Apple stores around here are in malls, I wonder if the line has already formed so people can buy the new iPad? They were lining up for sneakers in December in the mall, so I'm guessing special arrangements with mall security have to be made.

I wonder if Triumph the Insult Comic dog will show up to some iPad waiting lines?

Been using it since Friday 16th. First tablet, first iPad.

Nothing special. lol. So far, it is doing a good job replacing my laptop that I sold prior to purchase of iPad 3.

Using a typing app to practice typing on the iPad. Realized there are tons of people getting 80+wpm on these touch pads, I'm thinking if I practice enough I won't need separate keyboard for on-the-go situations. Plus, using retarded Siri that came with iPad will help a lot.

i heard it takes forever to charge and one corner gets pretty hot but the screen is supposed to be amazing

LOL. I'm an Apple fanman!!! Never used Apple products until two years ago, was always a PC person. I bought the iPad when it came out, and the iPad 2 when it was released. Gave the original iPad to the wife. But I love Apple, and here is why...

I dropped my iPad 2 several weeks ago. I had the micro protective case on the back, so, although the iPad didn't show any drop damage, the screen on one corner slightly separated. I took it in to the Apple store this past Friday, showed it to one of customer service reps. Before I could think, I was offered a new iPad, not a reconditioned unit, but a new one. They swapped out my 11 month old iPad 2 64GB, Wi-Fi 3G unit no questions asked!!! I bet you could never get that Asus, or a Samsung, replaced for free (no, I didn't have insurance). They also gave me a new smart cover because the old one was looking a little used after almost a year of use. LOL. As I back up to the iCloud, was able to immediately swap the iPads!!! Only had to download the apps when I got home!!!

Oh, I also checked out the new iPad while at the store. They looked great, amazing screen, had plenty in stock, so, I purchased a new one !!! W64GB Wi-Fi 4g Black. The wife got the "new" iPad 2, my son was handed down the iPad 1. Everybody is happy!

I got mine literally as I was walking out the door for the airport. It was 93% charged so I just turned it on, restored it from iCloud, and I was on my way with the same machine I sold a week earlier. I don't think any other device is that simple to use. The screen is spectacular and for the 20min of 4G I experienced, it was significantly faster than my 3G iPad 2. Two big thumbs up.
