Customizing DCT Bmw perf CF Console to fit 6MT
Has anyone tried this? Cutting out the existing DCT opening to accommodate the larger 6MT opening and then keeping the DCT power level switch as dead switch. Let me know what yall think..

Since you cannot buy an OEM carbon center console, it's a moot point. If you're talking about an aftermarket piece like the Autotecknic, then that's another story.

Didn't know that IND was officially offering it. IMO, with the high price of it, I don't see any benefit of using this piece over an already made AT piece other than the fact that you can say it's an OEM modified piece.

I have 12x DCT OEM BMW center consoles coming in next week from Germany. Price point is a little hight but the quality is perfect. I have seen the AT in person and they don't even come close.

Quality may be good or even great, but for over half the price of the entire interior setup for this one piece, it would seem that the price for this piece is way overinflated.

I'm just happy that we have the chance to get them. All of the center consoles are custom made for my contact in Germany by the M division. I'm told this is the last run of consoles for the year.

AutoTecknic for CF steering wheel trim and center console.
InDustry for DCT and e-brake boots. BMW dealer for swap out from brushed aluminum to CF for all other CF pieces including doors and rear console/ashtray. |
