question about ZHP knob

Hi everyone,

I installed my ZHP knob this weekend. I was driving it today. I really enjoying the shifting. However, there is one problem came out. The knob does not fit tight on there. I can easily twist the knob around. Has anyone experience this before? is there any way to solve the problem?

Thanks

JJ

The knob should "click" in place. Maybe you screwed up the driling or dremmelling part. When I first installed my knob I didn't push it all the way in. During a hard 1 - 2 shift I found myself scrambling in panic with the knob in on hand and fumbling the steering wheel in the other hand during a turn.

Mistake learned

you drill your knob? I usually just gently play with mine.

yes, I did light up the knob. I follow the DIY guide, and drill the hole very carefully. When I install the knob, is there an obvious "clicking" sound?

Its a muted "click", not like a light switch click, you will feel it more that hear it.. I had to push hard down to feel the click. Try that good luck.

Shame on your Porto

Line it up and give a good whack with the side of your fist, while holding it steady with your other hand. I switched to this knob, and mine is quite snug.

make sure the boot is lower than the notch the knob clicks in to.

I installed the knob again. The knob fit very tight this time. Thanks for all the help.
