Hey everybody, the famous Will Shaw!!
Will, explain to me how my car is beautiful with a missing fucking tow hook cover after 2 weeks of getting the car? Dude, even your service guy said that it was cover under warranty if it fell off the car. It's not if it was stolen. I wipe my car down before and after I drive, I know that it fell off during my drive. How do you guys get off telling me someone stole it? How do you tell a customer that he/she is wrong when he/she knows what happened? That's fucking BS. I went online and bought 3 for the price that your parts department charged me for one. And what do you know?? Its still on my car for 3 weeks now.....yeah stolen..nice. I don't give a fuck about all of that shit. At the end of the day, I just wish that you guys didn't BS me and tried to tell a customer that he's wrong when he's explaining to you the cold hard facts. That makes for bad customer relations, but what do you guys care? Right? There you go OP, a little deeper insight of the Nick Alexander dealership. |

Warning: Never step foot into the Nick Alexander dealership!!!!
I can back up ducman on this one about Nick Alexander. A few months ago, before I became interested in buying an M3, I was actually going to buy a 335i vert and modify it. So I call around for prices and I finally got a great price from Century West BMW on an AW 335i vert. I then call Nick Alexander because I heard a positive recommendation from a poster here and asked Will Shaw or somebody else (I don't remember who it was now) if they can beat Century West BMW's selling price, since they were so close to each other. He tells me over the phone, "of course I can beat it, just come over! I guarantee you that I can beat it!" I asked him again, "Are you sure you can beat that selling price because I have a 1 to 1.5 hrs drive to your place, and I don't want any shenanigans or BS?" Of course he reassures me that there is no BS! So I get there with my wife, check ready to pay for the full amount and he tells me that he can beat it alright, but I would have to finance it instead of paying cash for it. I was like WTF!!! Didn't you say you can beat the selling price? He then tells me, I never said I will beat the selling price if you paid cash for it! Nice one douchebag!! Made me drive all the way there for nothing!!!! Suffice to say, my wife and I left there beyond pissed!!! That Nick Alexander, is not how you do business!! And over a tow hook cover Will? Really? Ducman just bought a freakin' M3 from your dealership and you can't even give him a tow hook cover? Yeah, that is a really good business move there, to lose a customer and future referrals for a tow hook cover! Now that is unbelievable!! Everybody in SoCal looking to buy a new BMW who doesn't want to deal with shenanigans and other BS tactics like Nick Alexander employs, give Ryan Amico at Steve Thomas BMW a ring. You definitely will not regret it!! |

How do you know EXACTLY what the invoice price is? I built my E90 M3 valued at 68,875 MSRP and got it for 64,000 flat. Friends told me dealers make about a 7% range between invoice and MSRP, so I figured that was a great deal. Anyone know what exactly invoice is? BTW, I ordered it through Valencia BMW, but it was through a family friend's close buddy who manages it.

It was off their lot and in your hands when it happened. Should it happen, obviously not, but it's not Will you should be pissed at. You inspected the car and took delivery. Could they have just given you one? Probably, but do they have to give you one... hell no. Maybe if you were cool about it, they would have. And the prices for parts are Nick Alexader are VERY good with a CCA card... at least they were a few years ago when I lived in LA. As for the mats, that was pretty bone headed to turn them down. They're $100, and were back-ordered regularly.

Hands down the only place to by a car is from Philippe Kahn at Southbay Bmw. I just picked up my second car from him in the last 2 years and he gave me a great deal again.
None of the others would even come close. Don't deal with all this BS from other dealers PK will treat you like someone who spends $60k+ on a car should be treated like. THE CUSTOMER COMES FIRST. |

I went to crevier for my breakin service and they gave me one. Its been on my car for 4 weeks now..no one steal that shit at my place. With the clear bra wrapped into the tow hook hole, the cover is pretty tightly secured. I still got 3 that I bought that needs paint. If you put yourself in my shoes, a first time car buyer, first bmw, first m3, and in 2 weeks of getting the car, a tow hook cover fell off and you're not a tad bit pissed, then PM me your address. I'll gladly swing by and take your tow hook cover off of your hands for you. Even before I bought my car, Will threaten me over the phone with; "I'm going to try my best to make sure you don't get an M3." Just because I was going to take Ryan Amico's deal over his. I envy all of you that had a smooth transaction from Nick Alexander. As a first time car buyer, I never wanted to experience this mess. I'm glad I bought an M3...just wish I found this site earlier. (OP you're lucky) BTW, here's my mats... |

If Will told you to come in because he had a cover, then you are right and it's my bad to call you out. BUT, if it wasn't Will who said they'd give you one and had one in stock, then that's the person you should be pissed at. Sure the dealer should have just ordered you one and given it to you since they told you they had it and would give you one. I'm sure it can't cost that much.
Nice first car, but once you drive it off the lot, any shit that happens to it is on you. It's the same as if someone did steal it. Would you expect them to pay for it then? It's a bit harsh, but it's reality.

They wanted $18 for the cover, which like I said, I went online and got 3 for the price. Though this seem to be a repeat, but I didn't like the fact that the both of them tried to tell me someone stole it when I was telling them the facts of what really happen. That was their way of getting around the 'cover by warranty if parts of the car falls off while driving' to 'not cover by warranty if stolen'. I'm tired of writing the same shit over and over. I can understand that there are many customers out there like you and kaykay which have an excellent relationship with that dealership but this was my experience with them and it suck that it was my first time. Besides the fact that he lost his composure and threaten me during the buying process , I have Will to thank for getting me an M3. If I get the chance to do it all over again, I would talk to Ryan Amico. |

Mike Kellison @ Center BMW. Great service. Gave me a windshield sun blocking thingy when I asked for one, M floormats and replaced my ipod Y cable immediately after hearing about it being defective.

I feel so lucky that I don't have to go through all these hassles when I bought my car from Derek and Yiwen from Shelly BMW. My car was ready with everything in it when I picked it up. Literally just check, sign and drive home.

Good luck with that.
Does McKenna give loaners yet? I'll never buy a car from them again. Half a tank of gas when I bought the car from them. I had to ask for floor mats too.

I'm in the process of working with Ryan Amico on a 2011 M3 Individual via European Delivery. So far he's been one of the most professional CA's I've ever worked with. He's prompt, diligent, and knowledgeable and no BS. His prices are stellar too - only a few hundred above ED invoice. I'll write a full review on him when the deal is done and I take delivery. Ryan's over at Steve Thomas BMW in Camarillo, CA. 805-482-8878. Ask for Ryan by name if you want to speak to him.

I agree, talk to GOLFFRR or just contact Ryan Amico directly. My situation has been somewhat complex, but so far he's been very patient and easy to work with, and very good with following up with me. I'm eagerly anticipating things getting worked out on my end so that I can make my purchase.
