Looks like these have the "Nardo" insert with vinyl trim pieces. These are on my list.

OP - Make sure to circle back with pics after the install.

Thanks. They are nice, but the BMW Perf seats are just incredibly sexy. Too bad they are nearly 6k and no longer made. Alcantara ftw

These seats are the same, save the leather and stitching. One could argue they are equally sexy.

Alcantara will match my Performance Wheel, prevent slippage mid-corner, and breathe better than leather. No more "hot a$$" comments for me in West Hollywood.

Yeah that's what I was referring to, the perf seats being all alcantara, very nice touch

If you order with side air bags and heated they come with wiring hardness but not plug and play like the Performance ones.

Is it possible to order the BMW Performance seats from a vendor? Or are they all gone?

Talking Seats are Installed!

So after finally getting all the mounting hardware for the seats they are finally in. Now I need to code out the airbags. Is there a tutorial to how to code them out? I apologize to those who asked to weigh the seats but my buddy forgot to do it before installing but I can say the Recaro's are 10 to 15 pounds lighter than OEM.

They are discontinued by BMW this is why I went with the Sporters CS. If you find a vendor with a set then yes.

Thanks manari06.

Your seats looks incredible, and I think they look just as good as the BMW Performance. That shot with the installed CS really shows how much better these buckets look than our OE E9X M3 seats. These should have been an option and included in ZCP...

Seats look good. Definitely very high on my list of things to do to the car.

Is the 10-15 lbs. total or per seat?

Per seat. You feel the difference as soon you drop the OEM and pick up the Recaro's

Yes, this are just like the performance seats. Lot's of leg room for the passenger sitting in the back seats due to the thinner back shell. Way easier to get in and out the rear seats with the extra room.

I don't know for sure. My buddy is a BMW Master Mechanic and has accounts with most of the suppliers so he ordered and installed the seats along with rod bearing replacement and a few other things so I paid him all in advance. Originally I was getting the Performance Seats and the set with hardness and installation was going to cost me $3200 but since they got discontinued Sportster CS was the other choice. I think they cost almost about the same as the Performance maybe a few hundred dollars less.

They are Alcantara & Leather. Ordered this way directly from Recaro.

Curious about headroom - how much lower did these end up compared to stock? I'm also curious if the factory mounts end up lower than the Macht Schnell + Recaro ...

You definitely get a bit more headroom as they sit like an inch lower with the Macht Schnell mounts, and seat belt receptacles.

How well do these hold you in during corning?

Assuming 2g peak load, will these comfortably hold you in?
