DVD player while in motion?

Has anyone heard of a way to play the DVD player without the emergency brake on?

coding is the best option. Other solutions cut into your wiring harness.

I'm interested in the remote coding as well. Can you also remote code for LCI upgrades?

Have you guys seen this: http://www.tv-in-motion.co.uk/bmw_tv_in_motion.html

Seems a bit suspect. Haven't heard anything about it. Apparently just a DVD to activate it.

@ Mike, are you also able to code the 2011.5 refreshed system for dvd-in-motion?

Something that I'd be interested in too.

Stefan; do you think Miguel could code this for us?

I went with something similar. Took less than a minute once i dowloaded the file and burned it on a cd - insert the cd and it is ejected after a few seconds, re-insert it and after half a minute or so system restarts and you are done

Done for good? Care to post specifics to help us out?

@CalgaryX3
I believe Miguel can do it, but he charges a bit more for it. The advantage to the CD is you redo it after losing custom codings to servicing.

Yes, never had any problems with it.
Google dvdinmotion and their web site will come up.

I made the payment and gave them my VIN. The next day I received a download link.

You can go back to original setting any time you like and then re-enable it as many times as you like. But it will not work on another car.

Quote from their user guide below

Enabling the video in motion
1) Start the engine of your car and eject any disc from CIC drive.
2) Insert CD in CIC drive. After few seconds the CD will be ejected.
Remove it completely, wait for 5 seconds and then insert it again.
3) CIC system will restart with blank screen. After one minute the CD will be ejected, remove it and
wait for another restart of the system.
Congratulations! You can now play video in your car while driving.

To answer the questions posted earlier (and sorry for the slow responce, I am in costa rica for a couple more days)

Yes, I can code LCI or anything else, alarm, bluetooth, plus the coding options in the link below, all remotely. It's a pretty quick and painless procedure with a 100% success rate.

stefan: Yes, I have successfully coded many 2011.75 BMW's.

Yes, I can code it on any 09-12 BMW, including cars flashed at the dealer with the latest update.
