First No Front Plate Ticket

Got tagged on the DVP going N/B yesterday late afternoon. I was driving literally inbetween two cops and the entire time I was thinking today would be the day I'd get fined...lo and behold I did! haha

$110 but it gets waived once I get the front plate put up.

Not complaining b/c I'm clearly wrong and understood the risks. However, i've only had the M3 for a few weeks and if I keep on getting these tickets, I may just bite the bullet and throw something on. Just hate the idea of damaging the front. Been looking into various plate mechanisms that don't involve drilling.

oh yeah - i LOVE my car

Yeah - its not worth running without a plate in my opinion. I am having a new bumper installed on my car, and should get it back tomorrow. I didnt want to drill holes in the bumper so I have an MFest bracket that screws into the tow hook.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your car!

I got a ticket many years ago in my Camaro SS for no front plate that just made me livid!I was in a Timmies with my wife going in to pick up some stuff for work and this cop saw the car in the lot and follows me out.I pull out onto the street and right away he stops me and of course screwing up the rush hour traffic on a major road instead of using his head and talking to me in the parking lot.I had the plate in the car as the bracket had fallen off but this guy just did not care.Went to court and the charge was dropped! What a waste of time for everybody involved!I alway run with a front plate to avoid this crap!

Not worth the risk to me. I've seen a few pretty cool hole-less mounts around here.

DVP's not good luck for you!

Retarded

Just another way for the Province to bring in some cash. I don't think we have had front plates in Alberta for almost 20 years. Do you think that has impacted revenue generation from tickets? Completely asinine.

Even if you look at speed on green or red light cameras or photo radar, they tend to shoot from behind (unless you are in Arizona when they flash you right in the face).

get the Mfest tow hook mount. 2 seconds to take off and there are no holes in the grill.
