friends first

Definitely not a love at first sight. We have to start as friends first. Is there a color that would make the hump look smaller?

concept?

I would think a concept would be a bit more forward thinking than this, which looks like it borrowed the bumpers off a bad honda accord body kit.
The styling is getting too rice-boy...it can be agressive without being so kit-ish
I was thinking it would be more DB9-ish like so...(this was a quicky)

things i love:
the seats
the shift knob
the power buldge
CF roof
the wideness

things i just like:
the new "gill"
the steering wheel. (I like the Mtech wheel better)

things I dislike
the vents in the hood
bodykit (the e92 Mtech kit looks better. I somewhat like the skirts though)
the mirrors (im kind of on the fence about them, but im leaning towards not liking them)

overall, I love it, of course, but it just doesnt floor me the way I was expecting it to. Maybe the last years worth of spy shots has watered down a little for me. Or maybe im just used to my 335.

and whys it rocking CSL shoes? Were those the only tires they had lying around? And why the mismatched CF interior trim?

I bet they didn't mean for the interior to get photo'd. Notice how dark the tint is.

I really don't dig the powerbulge... BUT, I bet I'll eat that statement when I see it on the street. Often design elements like this have to be seen in person to appreciate.

I love the rest if the car at first sight. Wow!

those mirrors are hideous... its the only part of the design I really dont like...

that and the non-matching CF interior trim...

No, there is a sunroof integrated in with the Carbon Fibre Roof..unlike the M6. It shows in the close up pictures of the CF roof..you have to look for it. I was worried about no sunroof myself but it looks like they've made a great compomise.

Dislikes:
1) Carbon Fiber Shark Fin
2) Power dome too big, don't like the hood vents
3) Front bumper lines can stay but it needs to be cleaned up - simplified
4) Rear diffuser looks like the front bumper but in miniature, yuk!
5) Interior, well it's too boring, dash is too straight, carbon fiber trim is too wide
6) Gearknob and boot are separate, E46 M3 one piece gearknob & boot is nice.
7) F-150 side mirrors

Likes:
1) Overall shape of the car is good
2) Carbon Fiber roof!
3) Performance - I'm sure this will be impressive

So far I'm not planning on selling the E46, 3 - 5 years down the road who knows? :clueless:

The carbon fiber around the shifter is regular carbon fiber whereas the cf on the dash is actually leather with a carbon fiber pattern stamped onto it, similar to the M coupe and M roadster, or the Dodge Viper's steering wheel.

all it needs is a new front bumper and a set of deep dish rims, then its all set.
