Drilling CF splitter
Hi guys, I've got CF splitters (the two that go on L and R) and they have depressions on the bottom where screws would go but no holes. No, these were not bought off eBay.
Question is, do I drill pilot holes? If so, what size hole and what size screw? I know this stuff is strong but brittle and the last thing I want to do is to crack the CF obviously. Thanks for any advice . |

I ordered the OEM splitters and mine came with the holes pre-drilled. According to the directions, they mate up with the existing screws/pins under the bumper.

Ahh, I didn't know there were screws under there already. I don't plan on putting them on until spring so I haven't messed with it much. Good to know though, thanks.

Vendor said that people are simply using the tape so they stopped having holes drilled. Suggested I just use the 3M tape so that's what I'm going to do.
Thanks. |

Combo of tape and screws assuming you can re use the OEM ones will be simple and most effective for a secure fitment. 150 mph winds can do some weird things to loose fitting carbon
