New COB Led angel eyes

anyone tried these yet.. its 40w LED ive seen from top gear the new 4pc 40w cree LED which seems to be super bright with even rings.. but I was thinking that a full board or solid LED source would provide even more even light and be bright than the standard separate 4 leds.. any input or info?

Give them a shot.

I think that if you really want a bright ring that the limit has already been hit for a standard led bulb.

does it make sense since there is a larger light output over a broader surface?

FYI both the top gear and Cobb bulbs are junk, if you look at the tech specs of their products they are terrible. If you want the best go with Lux v4 or Umnitza Orion V4. I've tested practically every available Angel Eye product going on 23 seperate solutions so far and can say that from experience.

The rings not being even are by design and not due to the light source.

If you want an extreme example, look at pics with the Alpine HIDs, which have a *lot* of output power. The outer ring is still dimmer than the inside.
