M3 in Dubai,U.A.E

While i was going home today i spotted a convoy of 3 pick up trucks. The first 2 trucks were carrying the 335i and the last one was carrying a black e92 m3 with 18" rims.

I wonder what sort of testing they are doing over here and now?(Its 45degres celcious)

The trucks were in heavy traffic so i couldnt take any pics but im sure it was an m3 because of the rims and the quad exhausts. There was no cammo on the car what so ever i guess they relied on the 2 335i to confuse people.

Not sure camo would be necessary anymore seeing as the official pictures have been released.

Probably a high roller customer who orded a customized car. ie. the hartge E90 stuffed with the M5 engine & transmission.

Or equipped with a Eisenmann exhaust

Thats what i thought at first but i dont think they are heat testing because as you know the brochure for the m3 was shot in Dubai(the autodrome) and somewhere in finland or something, so they must have already done the heat testing. I really think they are testing the new gearbox since very few people here in Dubai opt for a car that has a manual gearbox. They are probably teasting heat resistance of the gearbox?:rocks:

What i meant to say is that they are probably testing the heat resistance of the DSG gearbox not the manual. There is littile if no demand for manual sports cars here.

They're still testing cars all over. I'm sure this is heat testing. And not just the DCT.

Have you seen the brochure of the new M3 in alpine white?
If you have then you should know that those photographs were taken in Dubai's racetrack called the Dubai autodrome.

But in this thread we are discussing what they are testing with the M3 in Dubai this close to production.
