I bought my RE-11's from Tire Rack and they have a list of all local garages they can ship them to for the install.

Thanks for the info,

Ive searched the entire internet! It looks like Discount tire direct has the better price for 4 tires shipped. Does any body have any expierence with discount tire direct?

I'm also waiting for a source here in Germany to quote me a price. Believe it or not high Performance tires are usually cheaper here in Europe.

you should get the RE-11s

they are have a better sideway on the tires I think you like to go tracking so its even more noticeable for you.

This is some tire rack test info!

If you read below the RE11 steering response is worse than the Yokohama ADO8 has Race tire-like handling and traction for the street !

So i'll get the Yokes for wet track days and day to day driving

Tires Tested:
Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 (Extreme Performance Summer 225/45R17)

What We Liked: Excellent road manners and wet grip
What We'd Improve: Improve steering response slightly
Conclusion: An Extreme Performance Summer tire you can live with during day-to-day driving
Latest Test Rank: 1st

Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08 (Extreme Performance Summer 225/45R17)
What We Liked: Laser-sharp steering response and balance of dry and wet traction
What We'd Improve: A modest reduction in tire impact noise
Conclusion: Race tire-like handling and traction for the street
Latest Test Rank: 2nd
Previous Test Rank: Not previously tested

AD08's and RE-11's are both awesome tires for a mix of high performance street and moderate track use (driving events and schools as opposed to sanctioned events where the winners run slicks). Both will have their proponents, and the steering feel is definitely different. Driving style and individual preference will determine which works best for you.

We found the Yokos a little faster in the dry, Bridgestones better in the wet.

For full test results of these two head to head:

Ben, do you know roughly how long these will last compared to say, a PS2?

At 180 treadwear, you will probably get about 30% less life out of the AD08s.

You can't compare treadwear numbers across manufacturers.

My AD07s did not last long at all, but I hear the AD08s last longer too.

Discount Tire has retail stores as well as the Discount Tire Direct Internet business. I've ordered tires from Discount Tire Direct 2 or 3 times without issue.

Discount Tire Direct Rebates

I've also had rebates on Discount Tire Direct orders. One was paid promptly and the second required some additional documentation from me (as Discount Tire had shipped the tires from a different warehouse and had to be shown what they had done). The important thing is that all the rebates were paid.

I want to add that I'm not advocating Discount Tire over Tire Rack. I've just had good experiences with Discount Tire. If pricing is comparable, Tire Rack is probably the better choice for you as they sponsor this forum, and you have Ben's ear if you have any service issues.

I landed up going with tire rack Yoke AD08. Their customer service is amazing. I had a different experience with Discount tire direct. Can't wait to mount them I hope there as good as every one says!
